Terms and Conditions - VRS LTD

1. By submitting your details on our form you are agreeing to use VRS LTD (or one of our authorised agents) as the collection and recycling company for your scrap vehicle. Please do not fill in the form in order to obtain a quote; we do not pay for scrap vehicles. We offer a free, reliable, professional and fully licensed scrap vehicle collection and recycling service.

2. If for any reason you need to re-arrange the time of collection, please give us as much notice as you can. We aim to be as flexible as possible and will not charge you to move the collection time/date as long as we still collect your vehicle and enough notice was given so that our driver was not already on route to collect your vehicle.

3. To cancel or amend a booking you can either email us using your online booking reference or call and speak to one of our team. Our phone system operates a voicemail facility outside of office hours which can also take the details of your query. Emails and voicemails are time stamped automatically.

4. If you need to cancel a request that you have made it must be done within 1 hour of the original booking. Failure to cancel within this time frame will result in a late cancellation charge of £40 which covers the cost of the admin involved in re-routing our driver/re-allocating the booking time and notifying an agent if the collection was assigned to one. All of our phone calls and emails are time stamped automatically so do not worry if you need to make amendments outside of our office hours.

5. If one of our collection teams arrives to collect your car at the agreed time and it is not possible to do so because; you have changed your mind, you are not there (where we have not previously agreed to collect the car without you present) or for any other reason which was not disclosed to us at the time of booking, the cost of sending out the collection team will be passed on to you.

6. We will do our best to collect your scrap car at the time you have chosen; but sometimes it just isn’t possible to fit everybody in. If for any reason we are unable to collect your scrap car at the time specified we will contact you to arrange an alternative time and date.

If your car is sold on to a scrap car company that does not scrap or update the ownership details for the vehicle, then it is you who is still liable for it. This may involve you incurring fines from the DVLA for road tax issues, from the police for lack of insurance, or worse if your vehicle is used in the commission of a criminal offence.
